Can RMR tell me how many applications will get me a Match?
No. The planner organizes your eligibility decisions, preferences, signals, budget and time. It does not estimate an individual Match probability or turn historical averages into a guaranteed target.
Should I apply only to programs I signal?
Read each program’s current policy and discuss your shortlist with your advisor. AAMC publishes specialty signal allowances, while individual programs choose whether to participate. The number of signals does not determine how many applications you should submit.

Start with the requirements and circumstances that apply to you. Review degree eligibility, examination policies, clinical experience and any needed visa sponsorship. RMR leaves unknown requirements visible; a directory listing does not confirm your eligibility.
Can I use published Match data to choose a count?
Use the report’s exact applicant group, specialty and year as context for an advising conversation. Applications, interview invitations and ranked programs are different measures. RMR does not convert one into another or treat group outcomes as your personal probability.
