2027 APPLICATION DATA · CHECKED SEPTEMBER 9, 2026

Plan your signals with the current rules.

These are the published 2027 ERAS residency signal allowances for 29 specialties. Individual programs decide whether to participate. A specialty allowance does not establish that a particular program accepts signals. Source: AAMC.

Use signals to communicate interest. They are not interview guarantees, quality rankings, or application-count recommendations. A specialty missing here has an unknown allowance in RMR; we do not assume it has zero signals.

What this data can tell you

The planner checks your saved signal assignments against these allowances, including tier mismatches. It shows applications without a planned signal so you can discuss them with your advisor. Signal allowance and planned assignment are different from program participation and historical interview yield; RMR has not yet verified those program-level datasets.

Check AAMC’s participating-program list before assigning signals in MyERAS. RMR keeps a private draft and does not submit assignments.
