Curriculum & Education
Overview
The Urology Residency program offers a balanced curriculum training residents to become leaders within their field of study, structured over six years, including one year of research, six months of surgery rotations, and 4½ years focused on urology rotations.
Application
Applicants are encouraged to apply for a rotation in the urology service. These are four-week rotations allowing for participation in urologic diagnostic evaluation and surgery. More information on applications can be found on the residency application page.

The urology service has several thousand hospital admissions annually and approximately 40,000 outpatient visits, providing exposure to the complete spectrum of adult and pediatric urologic disorders.
Fellowship
Offers fellowships in Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and Male Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery, with extensive training opportunities at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Atrium Health.
