Curriculum & Education
Overview
With more than 50 years of continuous surgical resident education, the General Surgery Residency Program is a fully-accredited, five-year university academic surgical program approved to finish four graduates annually. Our outstanding and notable faculty are dedicated to surgical education, and we pride ourselves in creating confident and capable young surgeons who are able to tackle the rigorous and rewarding career ahead, with or without a fellowship.
The Division of Plastic Surgery residency program is a pioneer of the integrated resident pathway. As one of the five original integrated plastic surgery programs, our innovative apprenticeship model of surgical education provides the opportunity for real mentorship and emphasizes early and significant exposure to plastic surgery.
The Division of Urology at the University of Missouri offers a fully accredited ACGME postgraduate residency training program focused on preparing physicians for their chosen career in either academic or community urology. A well-balanced training in both the techniques of genitourinary surgery and art of clinical practice is the foundation of this program.
Application
The application process for the residency program includes submitting applications through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). Important deadlines typically include the submission date and interview dates falling between October and January. Specific information about the application requirements, such as letters of recommendation, personal statements, and transcripts, is typically required and should be reviewed closely according to the program guidelines.
