Curriculum & Education
Overview
During the first year of residency (PGY1), trainees rotate for six months each with urology and general surgery. Residents complete four years of clinical urology training (PGY2, 3, 5 and 6) and a year of research in which they can participate in NIH funded prostate cancer research lab, design medical devices at UIC Innovation Center, pursue clinical research projects, and take courses at the UIC School of Public Health.
