Curriculum & Education

Overview

The residency program is centered at the University of Arizona Health Science (UAHS), which comprises all facilities of the College of Medicine, including the 480 bed hospital Banner University Medical Center Tucson, the Arizona Cancer Center, and numerous research facilities. The department administers over 15,000 anesthetics per year in 22 state-of-the-art operating rooms and 2 obstetrical suites. Furthermore, our cases encompass the full spectrum of anesthesia subspecialties so residents can easily satisfy the requirements of the American Board of Anesthesiology for case distribution.
