Curriculum & Education

Overview

The first year of residency includes six months spent within the Orthopaedic Surgery department at Temple University Hospital, three months on the orthopaedic trauma service, and two months of orthopaedic electives. The second year is spent rotating through four services including Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Trauma. The third year includes six months on pediatric services at Shriners Hospital and St. Christopher's Hospital, along with rotations in orthopaedic oncology. The fourth year includes six months at Abington Memorial Hospital and the fifth year is spent as a chief resident at Temple University Hospital. Daily didactic conferences cover various topics and research is a required component of the program.

Applications for residency should be made via ERAS by November 1st, during the senior year of Medical School.

Fellowship
