Curriculum & Education

Overview

The residency curriculum includes one full day of protected didactic time per week with various lectures and seminars on therapeutic approaches, faculty-mentored scholarly projects, and a tailored schedule for each year of residency.

Application

Residents will be selected based on their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills and personal qualities. The following materials are used for evaluation of all resident candidates: Original ERAS application and/or updated curriculum vitae, Three letters of recommendation, Notarized copy of medical school diploma (plus translation if not in English), Original copy of MSPE (plus translation if not in English), Original and final medical school transcripts (plus translation if not in English), Personal statement, Interview with program directors, United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores (minimum passing score required). For resident candidates who have graduated from foreign medical schools, the following additional criteria apply: Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification, J1 visa.
