Curriculum & Education
Overview
The Anesthesiology program at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is an accredited three-year program. Applicants will need to either complete or be in the process of completing Preliminary Year (Internship) prior to entering into the program. There are fifteen CA-1, CA-2 and CA-3 positions. The Department of Anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital does not currently participate in ERAS. The application should include a Curriculum Vitae, dean's letter from medical school, at least three letters of recommendation from clinicians with whom you have worked, medical school transcripts, a personal statement, and USMLE scores. International medical graduates are required to produce an ECFMG certificate and are encouraged to take the USMLE Step 3. Completed applications should be emailed to the coordinator, Alexandra Wainfeld. Applications are accepted from August through January.
Application
Applications are accepted from August through January. Once the application is received with all the necessary documents, the application will be carefully reviewed and eligible candidates will be called for an interview. Interviews are usually conducted in November, December, January and February. Forty to fifty candidates are invited for an interview every year for the CA-1 positions. The application should include a Curriculum Vitae, dean's letter from medical school, at least three letters of recommendation from clinicians with whom you have worked, medical school transcripts, a personal statement, and USMLE scores. International medical graduates are required to produce an ECFMG certificate and are encouraged to take the USMLE Step 3.

Fellowship
