We pride ourselves on a strong educational mission that is exemplified by our innovative formal curriculum. Maimonides was one of the first Emergency Medicine programs in the country to implement a flipped classroom model for core content learning in 2013 and continues to be a pioneer in adult learning techniques.

We are a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and the only Pediatric Trauma Center in Brooklyn. In addition, our residents spend four weeks at the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, one of the nation’s largest trauma centers.
