Welcome to the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (KP LAMC). This program aims to train competent and compassionate physicians prepared to serve their communities. With a multifaceted approach, residents gain valuable experience in diverse clinical settings, supported by expert clinicians and ample research opportunities. The program encompasses Categorical, Research, and Preliminary Medicine tracks, along with a Primary Care track for post-intern year application. Curriculum & Education
Overview
We utilize a multifaceted approach to training that aims to provide meaningful experiences that guide your growth toward independent practice. You will be trained and coached by expert clinicians and encounter a wide variety of pathologies and acuities at various clinical sites. You will have access to research projects and scholarly activities, and you will be expected to contribute to the education of the next generation of physicians.

Fellowship
The residency program offers various fellowship opportunities, including Allergy & Immunology, Cardiology, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Community Medicine, Electrophysiology, Gastroenterology, Geriatric Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology, Nephrology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. Recent graduates may pursue fellowships at affiliated institutions or specialized programs.
