Currently, there are two PGY-1 MD residents enrolled in the Geisinger Urology Residency program for the current academic year, all of whom have graduated from accredited medical schools.

Curriculum & Education

Overview

Residents will experience a balanced curriculum including surgical cases across multiple specialties, with opportunities in minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery, among others. Didactic activities include journal clubs, lecture series, and surgical simulation curricula.

Virtual interviews will be offered for selected candidates on the following dates: - Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 - Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024 - Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024

# of Locations

Residents will rotate primarily through Geisinger Medical Center and the Geisinger Healthplex Centerpoint, with access to a diverse patient population from central and northeastern Pennsylvania.

Fellowship

Upon completion of the Geisinger Urology Residency program, graduates are well-prepared for fellowships in various subspecialties, including urologic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, pediatric urology, and genitourinary reconstructive surgery. Many alumni have successfully matched into competitive fellowship programs.
