Curriculum & Education
Overview
PGY-1: Inpatient Internal Medicine (4 months*), Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care (2 months), Inpatient Pulmonology (1 month), Inpatient Cardiology (1 month), Inpatient Infectious Diseases (1 month), Outpatient Gastroenterology/Nephrology/Endocrinology (1 month), Geriatrics: Inpatient and Outpatient (1 month). *1 month of inpatient internal medicine will be nights, where the intern/senior team works 5 nights on followed by 5 nights off, with clinic being a requirement on most 'off' days. PGY - 2: Inpatient Internal Medicine (3-4 months*), Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care (2 months), Research (1 month), Ambulatory (1 month), Electives/Required Specialty Rotations (3-4 months). *1-2 months of inpatient internal medicine nights. PGY-3: Inpatient Internal Medicine (2-3 months*), Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care (2 months), Ambulatory (1 month), Electives/Required Specialty Rotations (6-7 months). *1-2 months of inpatient internal medicine nights. CONTINUITY CLINIC: The vision of our clinic is to foster outpatient learning in an open, welcoming environment while establishing a patient panel over a three-year training period. The clinic is staffed by board-certified internal medicine physicians. When scheduled on ambulatory month, all interns/residents will be working solely in our continuity clinic. The clinic's care will focus on: Acute health issues, Chronic disease management, Preventive services.

In addition to our comprehensive residency program, we are fortunate to have six in-house fellowship programs. Having a variety of fellows at our facility provides educational and research opportunities for our residents.
