Curriculum & Education

Overview

The Family Medicine residency is a three-year program with tracks for Global Health, Obstetrics, and Rural Training, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for their careers. The General Surgery residency is a five-year program focused on providing comprehensive surgical education. The Internal Medicine residency is a three-year program with a wide variety of clinical exposures. The Neurology residency is a four-year program focusing on personalized mentorship. The Obstetrics and Gynecology residency is a four-year program focusing on training competent specialists. The Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency is a four-year program emphasizing the mission to provide high-quality diagnostic information. The Psychiatry residency is a four-year program aimed at training compassionate psychiatrists. The Radiology residency is a four-year program providing excellent education in imaging. The Urology residency is a five-year program that includes general surgery training.

Application

The application is managed through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service). Applicants must hold U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, valid EAD, or J-1 Visa. Creighton does not sponsor H-1B visas for graduate medical education programs.

The Family Medicine residency has eight (8) categorical positions and one (1) Rural Track position; the General Surgery residency has eight (8) categorical positions; the Internal Medicine residency recruits twenty-six (26) positions each year; the Neurology residency recruits two (2) positions; the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency has four (4) positions; the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency recruits two (2) positions; the Psychiatry residency has eight (8) positions; and the Urology residency recruits two (2) positions each year.
