Overview
The program maximizes resident learning by offering full patient care responsibilities & excellent faculty teaching. Our main goal: Equip residents with the skills to become competent, compassionate physicians while serving an underserved, culturally diverse people in Contra Costa County. Four different regional FM centers offer unique educational & practice opportunities. We have a very unique Registrar system which involved one-on-one attending-to-resident ratios on many inpatient services—providing residents with excellent mentors and an ability to make most inpatient decisions with an experienced primary care internist or family physician.
