Curriculum & Education
Overview
The curriculum includes a diverse set of educational conferences held Monday through Friday, covering a variety of neurology topics such as Grand Rounds, Emergency Neurology, Subspecialty lectures, and Ethics. Residents are required to prepare and present some lectures, alongside completing web-based learning modules to enhance their medical knowledge. The first year (PGY-1) is spent in internal medicine, with subsequent years focused on direct patient care in various inpatient and outpatient settings.
Application
The Neurology Residency Program participates in the ERAS for all positions. Application requirements include: complete application, CV, personal statement, MSPE, medical school transcripts, USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 transcripts (suggested scores > 220), three letters of recommendation. For IMGs, US clinical experience is preferred and ECFMG certification is required. Visa sponsorship available for J-1 and H-1B. On Call Schedule
The on-call schedule averages every 4th night for PGY2 and PGY3 residents. PGY4 residents do not have a regular call schedule, but rather fill in when PGY2 and PGY3 residents are not able to take call due to rotations or vacation or absence.

The residency program is an advanced program designed to last four years, commencing with one year in internal medicine (PGY-1) followed by three years focused on neurology training (PGY-2 to PGY-4). Residents gain exposure to a wide range of neurology subspecialties.
