Resident Life

Overview

Summa Barberton Hospital’s residency program combines the benefits an academically-oriented faculty and a community hospital environment. Members of our faculty have been published in peer-reviewed journals and regularly contribute to various educational publications. As the only residents in a community hospital, our residents benefit from ample opportunities to perform a variety of procedures and work in close collaboration with our specialist colleagues. Our residents also have opportunities to teach medical students and present to hospital-wide educational conferences. We expect and equip our residents to incorporate the most current medical knowledge into realistic and practical approaches to enhance our patients’ health and well-being.
