Curriculum & Education

Overview

Intern education begins with a month-long rotation emphasizing immersion and advocacy in general pediatrics, followed by higher acuity rotations in the second year and unique leadership electives in the third year. Residents can join curriculum tracks tailored to their interests, with dedicated time each week to explore career goals and interests.

Application

Applications are accepted only through ERAS. Candidates must have graduated medical school within the last three years, possess U.S. work authorization or be eligible for J-1 status, and have recent clinical experience in the U.S. Step 2 exam results are encouraged but not required before the interview. All visiting medical student applications must be submitted through the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities program with applications accepted starting April 1.

The on-call schedule details are as follows: Grand Rounds or Morbidity and Mortality Conference every Tuesday; Multi-Disciplinary Case Conference led by an intern on Wednesdays; Protected didactics on Thursdays from 1200-1600; and Morning report, Psychiatry Rounds, QI/Safety Rounds, or Infectious Disease Bug Bowl on Fridays.
