The curriculum emphasizes six core competencies: patient care, medical knowledge, professionalism, interpersonal skills, practice-based learning, and systems-based practice. It offers a diverse range of rotations to ensure comprehensive training for residents.
Application
Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Interviews are normally held between October and January. Applicants should submit their application information as early as possible, starting in September, with the review process beginning in late September and continuing until November 30 or until all interview slots are filled.

On Call Schedule

Most residents live in apartments next to the hospital, with additional options nearby. Application information for housing is sent to interns after the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Match. Discounted parking is also available.

House officers receive a meal allowance of $16.75 per day for 6 days weekly, 4 weeks vacation, malpractice insurance, flexible medical, dental, and life insurance options, long-term care options, sick leave, reimbursement accounts, voluntary annuity participation, $500/year for education and conference expenses, and housing assistance.
