Curriculum & Education

Overview

The McLaren Greater Lansing General Surgery Program offers exposure to a high volume and a broad range of surgical cases, following a structured basic science curriculum composed of SCORE, Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education, and implemented by Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Statewide Campus System, focusing on delivering a comprehensive surgical education.

Application

Applications are accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Paper or emailed applications are not accepted. Minimum requirements include being a U.S. citizen or holding a valid green card, passing scores on the first attempt of all USMLE/COMLEX scores, and completion of medical school within 4 years. Required documents include a complete ERAS application, Deans letter (after October 1), CV, 3 or more letters of recommendation, Personal Statement, and COMLEX/USMLE.
