Curriculum & Education

The obstetrics and gynecology curriculum is anchored by our weekly academic sessions which are protected time. Grand rounds, morbidity and mortality conferences, fetal strip conferences, traditional didactics, simulation sessions and scholarly activity will all be components of the curriculum. Simulation sessions will be conducted on-site at the 37,000 square foot HCA Healthcare Center for Clinical Advancement in Frisco, Texas.

The base training site, Medical City Arlington, is a 432 bed Level II Trauma Center with over 100,000 annual emergency room visits and over 19,000 annual admissions. The Women’s Tower has 23 labor and delivery rooms, three OB emergency rooms, and 34 postpartum rooms. There are more than 4,000 deliveries annually.
