Curriculum & Education

Overview

Weekly/monthly/annual education includes: attending-lead didactics every Wednesday 6:30am – 8:30am, Morbidity and Mortality Conference and Grand Rounds every Thursday 7:30am – 9am, DaVinci robot training on Fridays, resident-run surgery clinics, laparoscopic simulation, monthly Grand Rounds, suture clinics, surgical anatomy and dissection courses, and life-saving certification trainings such as BLS, ACLS, and ATLS.

Application

The Sinai-Grace surgery residency program requires passing COMLEX USA or USMLE 1 & 2 for entry, and COMLEX USA or USMLE 3 must be passed before entering PGY 3 year. Applications are accepted through ERAS. The program has ACGME initial accreditation since July 2017. An audition rotation is encouraged but not mandatory for application review.
